The Summer 2013 Issue of Naugatuck River Review has my poem Bus 57, the latest form of which owes tremendously to my fellow poets from Donnelly and Nubia Cafe workshops. My acknowledgements and thanks go to them.

First Church in Boston - April 2013 Poetry Readings

During the month of April, First Church in Boston will be welcoming two published poets each Thursday, from 12:15-12:45, to read from their original work. Curated by poet Mary Collins, the series features a diversity of writers from a variety of backgrounds. 

The schedule is as follows: 

  • April 4: Kemi Alabi and Tom Daley, two dramatic and outspoken poets launch our lunchtime poetry series; 
  • April 11: Ellen Beth Siegel and Holly Zeeb, both women poet/therapists, offer their own unique and thoughtful views; 
  • April 18; Mary Collins and Adnan Onart, First Church in Boston member/poets from very different religious backgrounds share aesthetic values; 
  • April 25: Beatriz Alba Del Rio poet/lawyer and lifetime member of the New England Poetry Club, founded by Robert Frost, and Emerson College professor Daniel Tobin, vice president of same, relate their deep respect for the poetic tradition.

Nazar, Crimean Tatar Attitude and Culture Magazine's August Issue contains an interview conducted with me and two of my poems, Morning Prayer and Communist Bandit. It also has a wonderful translation of Morning Prayer to the Tatar language - thank you Taner Murat.

Ramadan at Dunkin' Donuts in Arizona

Sunday August 7th at 9AM Arizona time, Joy Walden of the Comfort and Joy Show will be reading my poem "Ramadan at Dunkin' Donuts".  The live stream can be fetched at The show is three hours long,  the poem will be read in the last hour
